Borgo San Giuliano
Local tradition in Rimini draws life from the surrounding ancient Borghi (villages). Borgo San Giuliano, made famous by Federico Fellini and in whose streets you can still breathe the typical atmosphere portrayed by the great director, is perhaps the best known of these. Among the lanes and little houses in the Borgo you’ll find multicoloured murals, painted by local artists, which depict the films and life of Fellini.
The Società de’ Borg, formed to keep local traditions alive, organizes the famous Festa de’ Borg every two years. This festival involves the whole city and recreates the atmosphere of a Rimini from times past. This bustling event includes entertainment, street theatre, music and gastronomy throughout the streets and lanes of the entire village.
